The Redeemer has to go through an entire reconcept and they don't know what its going to be or how much it will be when they are all said and done. I don't think it has anything to do with the BMM.
So then people can decide if they want to get their old Redeemers (or Vanguards) out of BuyBack and apply their $0 Merchantman CCUs in anticipation of the Origin 600. That's probably also the reason why they sold the NOX now instead of keeping it for the 3.0 releease and pushed the Origin 600 back (even though the Defender brochure had a teaser of the 600 as the next ship coming up).įortunately CIG has said they will give us advanced warning when they are going to remove the $0 CCUs. Their next move will likely involve removing all $0 CCU tokens before the Origin 600 goes on sale.
Heck it completely contradicts their original statement where they said it would be a permanent addition.ĬIG seems like they want to try and prevent people giving themselves $100 discounts with their $0 Redeemer>BMM CCUs, especially with the Origin 600 coming up. This is most likely the main reason and the 'because of eventual rework' is just a weak excuse. I see it as a direct reaction to the $0 ccus redeemer -> merchantman that many people are sitting on.
